This year’s Wilson Sonsini Entrepreneur and Investor Life Sciences Summit featured a panel titled “Driving Innovation in Utah: The Utah Innovation Fund”.
Featured on the panel was Keith Marmer, chief Innovation and economic engagment officer at the University of Utah; Jefferson Moss, House Majority Whip and associate commissioner for innovation with Utah’s System of Higher Education; and Gabi Tellez with Intermountain Ventures. The panel, moderated by BioUtah President and CEO, Kelvyn Cullimore, focused on the introduction of a $15M Innovation Fund created during the 2023 legislative session. The aim is to more broadly translate and commercialize discoveries at our academic institutions as well as provide a roadmap for life sciences innovation at the Point of the Mountain.
