Background
Embolization devices are used to block blood flow to tumors, treat vascular malformations, seal aneurysms, and treat other bleeding situations. Devices today require complex user techniques and materials, can be difficult to control during delivery, and provide inconsistent, long term vessel treatments. The need exists for an easy to use, controllable and effective embolization device.
Technology Overview
GPX is a novel embolic agent designed to block blood flow to a targeted region. The GPX technology is a low viscosity, aqueous-based solution in a syringe that solidifies into a durable embolic material upon delivery.
